The Whydah Pirate Museum and Expedition Whydah are privately run ventures dedicated to public benefit. Neither the museum nor the expedition receive funding from any state or federal source. Diving operations and artifact conservation are supported entirely by ticket and merchandise revenue, yearly museum memberships, and donations big and small.
The Whydah Pirate Museum and Expedition Whydah are actively seeking corporate partners to help this project grow. Although diving operations continue annually and the museum adds new exhibits each year, there is still plenty more to do. Even after three decades of diving and excavation, nearly half of the wreck site remains unexplored. Groundbreaking discoveries and historic insights into the “Golden Age of Piracy” are still waiting on the seafloor.
Help us complete the excavation of this extraordinary piece of history. If your organization is interested in partnering with the Whydah Project please contact the museum box office, or email the museum’s director of operations, Brandon Clifford, at email@example.com.
